FLASH FICTION #7

I felt the rush of pain go through my body as I saw my train cart pull up.
“Be careful and make friends!” my mom said sounding scared for me
“I will be, I will be I promise” I said as I grabbed my bag and clutched my books.
As I walked into the train car I saw so many kids whom I didn’t know.
“Hey give me my books back!” one of the boys yelled
I ignored them and found a train car.

The trails left behind

The string follows innocently behind you
Reminding you of the sorrow

FLASH FICTION CONTEST #7

I sat against the oak, escaping Katrine’s whining. From deep in the forest I could hear howls, sending shivers down my spine.

I paused, hearing a deep growl nearby. Thick fog soaked through my jeans. Twigs snapped underneath as a red wolf stalked into the clearing, blood dripping from its jaws. The air smelled like iron.

I scrambled backwards towards home, our eyes locked.

“Samet!” I crashed through the broken door to Mother holding Katrine, cornered. I slipped behind the beast, whacking its snout with a poker, sending it scampering. I lifted the cellar doors, and we descended into darkness.

FLASH FICTION #4

“This janitor is so weird.” whispered Kyle to Johnathan.

Standing five feet away from them was Dan the janitor, the strangest Janitor ever. He would spray pink graffiti on the walls and then, he’d clean it until it was all gone and he would blast heavy metal music with a speaker.

Despite his crazy loud music, he somehow heard Kyle. He quickly walked up to them and asked “I think the word you’re looking for is talented.”

He made a strange bird sound, did a backflip while spraying the ceiling pink, and then, an eagle landed on his head.

FLASH FICTION ENTRY #5

He was a simple man. He took everything at face value, understanding everything as it was.
Sometimes people told him this was a gift. He believed it was a gift. Someone told him you are knowledgeable, he thought he was smart and became arrogant. Someone told him that his curiosity was unsurpassed. He thought he was creative.

A simple man now “gifted”, “arrogant”, “creative” met one more person. The last man gave him the greatest advice.

“Advice not for any other,” he said.

And he developed greed.

Flash Fiction Entry #1

It all happened super fast, all I remember was flashing lights, people screaming, and the pain in me. That's really all I guess.

“Hey! Wake up!” Someone gently pushed me awake. I woke up startled and scanned the room, everything seemed the same, the pale tan walls, the bookshelf , the coffee table, the pale brown cupboards, and my parents I’m pretty sure, sitting on the chairs looking worried and a nurse I;m pretty sure. She was saying something but I couldn't understand, all I saw was shock on my parents face...
